Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs were a successful group of animals that emerged between 240 million and 230 million years ago and came to rule the world until about 66 million years ago, when a giant asteroid slammed into Earth. This collection of marbles brings together the most incredible dinosaurs in history, to make them eternal like their name and recognized worldwide
PTERODACTYLE
Is an extinct genus of
pterosaurs, whose members
are commonly known as
pterodactyls. It is thought to
contain only a single species,
Pterodactylus antiquus, which
was the first pterosaur to be
named and identified as a
flying reptile.
SPINOSAURUS
Was the biggest of all the
carnivorous dinosaurs,
larger than Tyrannosaurus
and Giganotosaurus. It lived
during part of the Cretaceous
period, about 112 million to
97 million years ago, roaming
the swamps of North Africa.
Spinosaurus means “spine
lizard,” an appropriate
descriptor.
T Rex
Is a genus of tyrannosaurid
theropod dinosaur. The
species Tyrannosaurus rex (rex
meaning “king” in Latin), often
called T. rex or colloquially
T-Rex, is one of the best
represented of these large
theropods. Tyrannosaurus
lived throughout what is now
western North America.
ICTIOSARIO
Were large marine reptiles
that looked like fish and
dolphins. During the Triassic,
they evolved from as yet
unidentified terrestrial reptiles
that returned to the water, in
a process analogous to that
which dolphins and whales
must have undergone.
